Reading your AOL email using other email software

You can now read your AOL email through your favourite email application. As long as your email application supports IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) you should be able to read and send email from software such as Microsoft Outlook or Netscape.

You will need to enter the following details:

Enter your email address in full: e.g. jsmith@aol.com

Enter the 'Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server': as follows: imap.uk.aol.com

Enter the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:' as follows: smtp.uk.aol.com
